Baseline Tennis Academy offers an engaging Cairns Sports School Holiday Program, designed to keep children fit, active and entertained. With a mix of tennis, multi-sport activities and social games, our program provides the perfect combination of skill development, fitness and fun in a safe, supportive environment. They are run at the Cairns International Tennis Centre, on Sheridan Street, Monday to Friday. We have full day ($60) and half day ($40) rates, with discounts for all week attendance. Our School Holiday Program is perfect for children of all skill levels, from complete beginners to enthusiastic tennis players. Kids engage in structured sessions that teach tennis basics, refine techniques and introduce them to friendly matchplay. Beyond tennis, the program includes multi-sport games to ensure kids stay active and engaged all day, promoting fitness, coordination and teamwork in a fun, supportive setting.
Our program offers a range of activities that help children develop motor skills, coordination and team spirit. Tennis Drills & Matchplay provide skill-building exercises and game practice, allowing kids to improve their technique. Multi-Sport Activities like soccer, basketball and dodgeball keep children moving, while Indoor Games such as table tennis and board games, provide engaging options for hot or rainy days.
Our School Holiday Program is not government-subsidised, as it’s a professional coaching initiative under Tennis Australia, focusing on active engagement. While not classified as “Vacation Care”, we offer similar hours and fully supervised sessions. To ensure accessibility, we’ve set a competitive rate of $55 per day, dropping to $50 for weekly bookings, providing affordable, quality programs and activities.
Parents are encouraged to pack enough food and water to keep their child fuelled for the day. Baseline Tennis Academy does not provide food, so please pack morning tea, lunch and snacks. Children should also bring a hat, sunscreen and comfortable sports attire, along with any required medical supplies.
Additional $5 for Tobruk Pool sessions on designated days.
