I started coaching when I was 15 years old, initially at a few local clubs. It started with working a few afternoons and grew into a senior coaching role after completing my university degree.

I coach both kids and adults at various clubs across Cairns.

I love watching kids progress and improve over the years, but also love seeing them have an absolute ball on the tennis court. It’s one of the coolest things about being a tennis coach.

Winning my first ever tennis tournament down on the Mornington Peninsula when I was about 14 or 15. It was a really cool moment.

Roger Federer. If I’m not wearing my Baseline Coaching hat, there’s a fair chance you’ll see me with an old Roger Federer hat.

For shoes, I chop and change, but Yonex is a favorite. For racquets, I’ve been using the Wilson Pro Staff and have gone through the last 3 installations of the racquet.

I’ve hiked to the top of a volcano in Iceland … and yes, it wasn’t active!
