Not born in Cairns but certainly considered a local now, Misty Andrejic joined Baseline Tennis Coaching Academy in 2021. She coaches everyone from 3-year-olds to adults at CITC and is known as the ‘Baseline Mum’ for her nurturing and supportive coaching style.

When did you start coaching tennis?

I started coaching tennis when I was about 10 years old, at the Cairns Courts.

Who do you coach and where?

I coach everyone, from 3-year-olds to adults.

What do you love about coaching tennis?

I love coaching with the Baseline team! It’s great to help kids grow in their tennis skills and see them go from absolute beginners to amazing players. My coaching style is that of a ‘mum,’ being super patient but also direct when needed.

Favorite tennis memory?

Travelling with my tennis teammates all around the state as I was growing up, playing in heaps of tournaments.

Favorite tennis player?

My mum!

Favourite tennis brand of racquets and shoes?

Babolat racquets but New Balance shoes!

Fun Fact about you...

My two big kids, Kyte and Lars, are junior coaches with Baseline Tennis! My two little girls are twins. I’m really clumsy except when I’m playing tennis!
